Yaron Lambez Israel (Bat-yam) 1975.
All my childhood was spent surrounded by art in my home where I learnt my craft. In 1998 I moved to the Canary Islands where eventually I started my artistic journey in a small village called Playa Santiago, La Gomera.

Most of my work is commission based, painting stages for the local parties, posters, carnival decorations, murals, portraits, landscapes, signs and even some boats. In my years of practice I learned to work with many different materials and disciplines and painted more than 700 canvases.

All this led me to develop my own technique and language of painting. In 2010 I opened my first gallery, converting the oldest building of the village from banana packaging into «Art studio Santiago». In 2015 I opened my second Gallery called «LA MUSA» in South of Tenerife located in a luxury Hotel called Royal Hideaway Corales suite where I work with the most prestigious artists in the archipelago. My work is located in different cultural centres, galleries, hotels, restaurants and houses around the world. I would consider myself a free painter. What I mean is that I let myself explore, I go through different series of paintings, always searching for the magic, beauty and the hypnotic effect.

In some of my work I like to create images that when you first look at them, you see something, but when you discover the secrets of the painting, the piece changes forever. For example the series of “Gara y Jonay”. I would describe my work as colourful, happy and full of light.

My inspiration mostly comes from the beautiful canarian nature and whimsical legends. Love, new life, the balance of life, emotion, biomorphic, landscapes of trees and moons are often repeating themes in my work. As I always say «un pincel que camina sobre lienzos deja detrás un camino de sueños cumplidos» which roughly translates to «a paintbrush that treads on canvas, leaves behind a path of lived dreams».
