The international online magazine «ArtMedia» presents Alfonso Caputo and his translations into Italian of poems from the book «A Time of Hope» by Oksana Zhukova(Sky) and Tommy Barr. The presentation of the book took place in Italy during an exhibition of paintings by Tommy Barr. Tommy Barr’s works inspired Oksana Zhukova (Sky) to create poetry.
Biography of Alfonso Caputo
I was born in the city of Foggia, Italy, 1961, october 31st, and currently I live in the town of Belforte del Chienti, Italy, where I’m the Artistic Director of the MIDAC Museum, international dynamic contemporary art museum.
I’m photographer, digital artist, video artist, painter and I’ve done 188 exhibitions, 44 of which are personal.
I’m also writer and poet.
He has various publications of collections of poems, tales and art essays to his credit.

Studies
I’m graduated in 1980, expecialized in technical design, topography and cartography.
I attended the University, faculty of philosophy, but I never finished my career.
Like artist I built my personal way to be an artist through the direct learning from masters, like was normal in the deep past, not in an Official Academy.
The first one master was my father in the field of the photography.

The book of poems by Oksana Zhukova(Sky) inspired by the works of Tommy Barr on display arrived just in time to be introduced at the opening MIDAC Exhibition. Alfonso read a few that he had translated into Italian, which were particularly enjoyed by the poets and writers in attendance.

Voliamo verso il futuro, il misterioso mondo di domani

Sono a Richmond Park, foresta e silenzio
In realtà non posso crederci
Che sei ancora in guerra
Che le persone uccidono, non gli animali
Qui sono circondato da una foresta selvaggia
Ma tu hai paura ed eccolo qui tutto insieme
Tranquillo come nel paese delle meraviglie
Vivono senza odio, senza vendetta
Nella foschia dei fiori si fondono i canti degli uccelli

Sul pianeta dell’amore, la mia dimora è così vera
Sotto la vista meravigliosa della costellazione
Oltre la mia finestra, dove i sogni inseguono
Al di là delle colline, un lago di rose splendenti

Mi bagno nei mari della luce eterna della speranza
Dove le sfumature lilla del crepuscolo sfumano dolcemente
E pietre di terracotta, nella potenza dell’oceano
Raccontano storie con onde di blu, una serenata
